Apple Crisp

Most everyone enjoys a good fruit cobbler, crisp or pie, right? I’ve got a great pie recipe, a pretty good cobbler recipe and have yet to settle on a crisp recipe…until now. My friend Lindy found this recipe and seriously, I don’t think I’ll try another. There’s almost…too much crisp to fruit ratio, and then I stop and remember…there is no such thing as too much crisp!

2 c flour
2 c oats
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 c butter
2 quarts fruit – blueberries, cherries, apples, peaches…your choice, they are all good!

Mix dry ingredients together and then cut butter into mixture and mix til crumbly.

Place half of the mixture in the bottom of a 9×13 dish and pat down. Add fruit. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top.

Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes!

YUMMO!!
