Zesty Italian Crescent Casserole

zesty-italian-cresent-cassole-11 lb lean ground beef
1/4 c chopped onion
1 c spaghetti sauce
6 oz (1 1/2 c) shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 c dairy sour cream (can substitute with ricotta cheese if you prefer)
1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2-3 Tbls margarine or butter, melted

Heat over to 375 degrees. In large skillet brown beef and onion, drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce; heat thoroughly. In medium bowl, stir together mozzarella cheese and sour cream (ricotta cheese if you prefer).

Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 12 x 8 (2 quart) baking dish. Spoon cheese mixture over meat mixture.

zesty-italian-cresent-cassole-prep-1Unroll dough over cheese mixture. In small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and margarine/butter (melted). Spread evenly over dough. Bake for 18-25 minutes or until deep golden brown. 6 servings
