Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbls cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/3 c cold water
15-17 oz canned pumpkin (based on size of can)
1/2 c chocolate chips

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. In another bowl mix dry ingredients. Add portions of dry ingredients to cream mixture and then add water – alternating back and forth. Lightly mix in the pumpkin. Stir in chocolate chips.

Bake 350 for 1 hour. For small bread pan size, bake for 45 minutes.
