Spanish Sangria

My cousin brought this recipe back from his time in Spain. We use Rioja wine, but I’m sure any red FROM SPAIN 🙂 would work

1 bottle of red Spanish wine

1/2 cup of sugar per bottle of wine

Stir the sugar into the wine really good before adding the fruit

Use the juice from one orange and one lemon. I found that it’s best to leave out the lemon fruit pieces and just stick with the juice from a lemon

1 orange

2 nectarines

1 apple

2 plums

Let it sit in the fridge for at least 24 hours.
