2 c. flour
1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 tbls. cold butter
1 egg
3/4 c. buttermilk
Combine first six ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and buttermilk; stir into crumb mixture just until moistened.
Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 400 for 12-15 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm. 10 servings.
