Baked Ham, Cheese & Poppyseed Sandwiches

½ cup onion, very finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 TBSP butter

2 TBSP olive oil

2 TBSP black sesame seeds (original recipe called for poppy seeds, but I didn’t have any!)

2 TBSP mustard

1 pound sliced Primo Black Forest Ham from Safeway Deli (can use your ham of choice, but this is what I had on cook day)

Sliced Muenster Cheese, cut to fit roll

Dozen potato rolls from Safeway bakery (Hawaiian rolls or any small soft roll would work)

Saute onions and garlic in the butter and oil. When soft, add sesame seeds and cook a couple minutes to toast. Stir in mustard and remove from heat. Split rolls and spread inside of one side of roll with seed spread. Fold up 2 slices of ham and place a slice of cheese in between the two. Place ham/cheese inside roll and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in oven at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
